I'm an associate professor of philosophy at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. My work and courses are mainly about natural language semantics, ontology, probability, and rationality. Lately I have been thinking about philosophical issues connected with the mid- to long-range future. I teach at the graduate and undergraduate level on a wide range of areas in philosophy. I am also the father of four amazing kids and the husband of one amazing woman, who is a wedding floral designer in Ann Arbor.
